What to do near the Agachon?


Our hotel with restaurant and brasserie is located less than a hundred meters from the Petit Rhône. It is one of the two arms of the Rhône delta. On the banks of the Petit Rhône, you can take lovely walks, bike or canoe trips. Ask for advice from the Agachon team, the members will be happy to tell you the best places and the most beautiful walks to do in the surroundings.

The Camargue Regional Natural Park


By staying at the Agachon, you will be accommodated at the most strategic point to discover this vast preserved wetland, in all its splendor. Indeed, you will be close to many points of interest. In a 4-minute drive, you will be at the Maison du Riz, where you will meet rice farmers who are passionate about their profession and discover Camargue rice growing. 15 minutes by car, you will be at Pont de Gau, this ornithological park, open year-round, offers you the chance to observe birds in the wild, in their natural environment. And finally, 7 km from our establishment, is the Vaccarès pond, the largest pond in the Camargue, you can take many hikes to discover the Lighthouse of Gacholle or La Capelière.

Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer


In 20 minutes by car, you will be in the heart of the picturesque village, capital of the Camargue, Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, but also, the first beaches of the Mediterranean. This land of pilgrimage hosts the Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer church, a fortified church from the 6th century. This church shelters the crypt of Sainte Sara, and is the place of important pilgrimages during the months of May, October and December. Stroll the cobbled streets of the city center, you will find restaurants and bars, where you can enjoy a cold drink in the heart of this city full of history and legend.

The city of Arles


In just 20 minutes by car, you will be in the center of Arles. This city of Art and History is full of prestigious remains from the Roman era, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. Among the eight essential monuments of Arles, you will find: the Roman Amphitheater, built in the 1st century; the Ancient Theater, which now offers many outdoor shows; the cryptoportiques, the underground galleries of the old forum; the Baths of Constantine, dating from the 4th century, they were essential in Roman times; and finally the Roman ramparts.
